GROUND ID 001

Bobbi pulled Centy from Wailer’s Well, a place seldom visited in the Ground. To most, it is only a sad black pit in the earth. But some have the eye to look upon such darkness and see beyond it—a true gift. I suspect you do too, Rotling.

Shipwrecked fishermen of old were said to stop there and wail, dropping coins and treasures into the abyss, begging for mercy, never pausing long enough to notice the glistening wonder beneath the dark.
It is rumoured that some passers-by fell frozen in time after looking too long. Star-struck, they called it—though whether it was the shimmer or the darkness that held them, no one can say.
Do not let it frighten you, for where there is darkness, there is light. Lady Moon glistens there each night. The well keeps a hush of music, a glimmer in the water and a marvel not given to every eye.
Centy rose from that well carrying its oldest gift: the power to perceive what others miss, and to remain unseen in return. A dual speshies, they are both Extraverta-brae and Introvertra-brae. Some nights, they emerge to the drums, radiant with mischief. Other nights, they disappear beneath their pet rock, and we know not to knock.
It was there, in Wailer’s Well, that Lady Moon blessed Centy with their shine.
